Research
The
process metallurgy group
is settled as a study group at the
institute of metallurgy, together with the foundry technology,
the physical chemistry, the ionic liquids group,
the metall forming and the study group of electronic materials.
We deal with basic research and application-oriented technology development, e.g.
- classical simulation of metallurgic vessels (e.g. water trials)
- about steel production (e.g. direct strip casting)
- up to development, realisation and qualification of new materials
Another focus is the connection of experimental
investigations with mathematical modelling:
